I'LL ALSO SHARE OUR NEW PROGRAM GOALS AND STRATEGIES.

SOME OF OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS. AND THEN I'LL CLOSE WITH SOME CONCLUSIONS.

NEXT SLIDE PLEASE. SO HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW OF OUR THIS PROGRAM TIMELINE I'LL START WITH 2021.

UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE DSHS SCHOOL. EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP, THE SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM COMPLETED A PROGRAM ASSESSMENT.

AND THIS ASSESSMENT WAS TO CLARIFY THE PROGRAM SCOPE AND FRAMEWORK, AS WELL AS TO FOCUS ON PUBLIC HEALTH CORE ACTIVITIES.

AND AT THAT TIME, OUR CORE ACTIVITIES WERE RURAL IMPLEMENTATION AND OTHER LEGISLATIVE REQUIRED ACTIVITIES.

WE ALSO CURATE AND DISSEMINATE THE SCHOOL HEALTH RESOURCES THROUGH OUR BIWEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER, THE FRIDAY BEAT. WE ALSO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO THE SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEES SUCH AS THE STOCK EPINEPHRINE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND TCAC.

AWARDING FUNDS TO TEXAS SCHOOLS FOR PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE AND IMPROVE SCHOOL HEALTH THROUGH OUR REACHING FOR EXCELLENCE GRANT.

WE ALSO PROVIDE TAILORED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO DISSEMINATE AND SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE BASED SCHOOL HEALTH GUIDANCE. ADDITIONALLY, I DID WANT TO MENTION THAT WE DID MOVE AWAY FROM HEALTH SERVICE ACTIVITIES THAT WOULD FALL UNDER THE PURVIEW OF OTHER AGENCIES OR THAT ARE OUTSIDE OUR PUBLIC HEALTH SCOPE, SUCH AS NURSING PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS.

SO MOVING FORWARD TO 2023, THE CDC AWARDED DSHS A FIVE YEAR SCHOOL BASED INTERVENTIONS COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT IS TO PROTECT AND IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN AND IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, AND BY PROVIDING US WITH A ROAD MAP AND FUNDING TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.

SO STARTING IN JULY OF 2023, WE DID BEGIN OUR PLANNING AND PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT WITH THE ROADMAP PROVIDED AND BUILT ON THE FRAMEWORK FRAMEWORK THAT WE CREATED BASED ON THE 2021 ASSESSMENT.

AND THIS DID ALLOW SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM TO BECOME BETTER ALIGNED WITH THE BEST PRACTICES AND NATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS AND MOVING FORWARD TO 2025 AND THE PRESENT, WE CONTINUE TO EXECUTE THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WORK PLAN AND TO WORK ON OUR CORE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. WE DO WE WILL ALSO SYSTEMATICALLY EVALUATE THE PROGRAM AND MAKE THESE IMPROVEMENTS BASED ON EVALUATION FINDINGS.

SO THIS IS JUST, AGAIN, A HIGH LEVEL TIMELINE OF 2021 TO PRESENT TIME.

OKAY. NEXT SLIDE PLEASE. SO MOVING ON TO WHAT WE DO.

THE SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM DOES APPLY THE WISC WHISK MODEL TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND PREVENT CHRONIC DISEASES IN SCHOOLS AND BEYOND.

WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING SCHOOL HEALTH LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT AND DEVELOPING RULES AND GUIDANCE.

AS YOU CAN SEE ON THIS SLIDE, THE WHISK MODEL IS A STUDENT CENTERED MODEL WITH TEN COMPONENTS THAT EMPHASIZE THE ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY IN SUPPORTING THE SCHOOL. THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN HEALTH AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, AS WELL AS THE IMPORTANCE OF EVIDENCE BASED SCHOOL POLICIES AND PRACTICES.

GIVEN THE SCOPE AND CAPACITY OF OUR PROGRAM, WE ARE ENABLED TO WORK ON ALL OF THESE COMPONENTS AS WE DO ALIGN OUR ACTIVITIES WITH THE AGENCY AND SECTION PRIORITIES. NEXT SLIDE PLEASE.

SO NOW THAT I'VE KIND OF TALKED ABOUT WHAT SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM DOES, I WANTED TO GIVE SOME MORE INFORMATION ON OUR GOALS AS THEY ALIGN WITH THE CDC COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES THAT ARE LISTED ON THIS SLIDE.

AND THESE OUTCOMES ARE TO INCREASE NUMBER OF SCHOOLS WITH AN ACTION PLAN BASED ON THE COMPLETION OF CDC'S SCHOOL HEALTH INDEX TO INCREASE IMPLEMENTATION. IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE BASED COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL PHYSICAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAMS, SCHOOL NUTRITION AND FOOD SECURITY POLICIES AND PRACTICES, AS WELL AS HEALTH SERVICES POLICIES AND PRACTICES THAT SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH

CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS AND AND LASTLY, TO INCREASE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, HEALTHY DIETARY BEHAVIORS, AND AND SELF-MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS AMONG STUDENTS IN THE IN THE PRIORITY LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCY AND THEIR CORRESPONDING SCHOOLS. AND NEXT SLIDE PLEASE.

SO I DID WANT TO TALK ABOUT OUR PROGRAM STRATEGIES.

SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTING TWO NEW STRATEGIES TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS THAT I PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED.

ALSO PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE IMPORTANCE OF IMPLEMENTING STOCK MEDICATION POLICIES, AS WELL AS HOW TO ADDRESS SCHOOL HEALTH BY UTILIZING THE WISC MODEL.

TO SELECT THE TARGET REGION, WE DID USE THE SOCIAL VULNERABILITY INDEX.

AND THIS OVERALL SOCIAL VULNERABILITY INDEX SCORE RANGES FROM ZERO, WHICH IS THE LOWEST VULNERABILITY TO ONE, WHICH IS THE HIGHEST VULNERABILITY. THIS INDEX IS USED BECAUSE IT MEASURES THE RESILIENCE OF COMMUNITIES AND IS USED TO GUIDE COMMUNITY BASED HEALTH PROMOTION INITIATIVES, SO AREAS WITH HIGH SOCIAL VULNERABILITY ARE MORE AT RISK FOR SUFFERING AND ECONOMIC LOSS.

WHEN CONFRONTED BY EXTERNAL STRESSES ON HUMAN HEALTH, SUCH AS THOSE THAT ARE CAUSED BY DISASTERS OR DISEASE OUTBREAKS.

AS YOU CAN TELL FROM THE MAP ON THE RIGHT, THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT GROUPING OF HIGH SVI COUNTIES IN THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY AREA.

SO THAT WOULD BE THE BORDER TO THE SOUTH. SC REGION ONE AND PUBLIC HEALTH REGION 11 PARTIALLY OVERLAP WITHIN THESE COUNTIES.

SO EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER REGION ONE HAS HAS BECOME OUR PRIORITY TARGET FOR THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT IMPLEMENTATION.

SO WITHIN SC REGION ONE WE ARE FOCUSING ON LIBYA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATED IN HIDALGO COUNTY.

OLIVIA DOES HAVE IS ONE OF 48 ISDS WITHIN ESC REGION ONE.

THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT DOES SERVE THREE CAMPUS CAMPUSES, INCLUDING ONE ELEMENTARY, ONE MIDDLE, AND ONE HIGH SCHOOL. AND FOR SOME BACKGROUND DEMOGRAPHICS.

ACCORDING TO TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY'S 2023 DISTRICT LEVEL DATA, 99.8% OF STUDENTS ENROLLED IN LATVIA ISD WERE HISPANIC, AND 96.90 3.6% OF STUDENTS WERE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED.

SO CURRENTLY IN FISCAL YEAR 25, ESC ONE IS EXPANDING THEIR WORK TO SUPPORT THE SHY ASSESSMENT, THE SCHOOL HEALTH INDEX ASSESSMENT AND ACTION PLANS AND UP TO FIVE ISDS WITHIN THE REGION.

SO MORE TO COME ON THAT AT A LATER DATE. NEXT SLIDE PLEASE.

SO I DID MENTION A COUPLE OF SLIDE BACK SLIDES BACK.

STRATEGY ONE IS ALL ABOUT STATEWIDE SUPPORT. SO I WANTED TO TO TOUCH ON OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN REGARDS TO STATEWIDE SUPPORT.

WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A STATE LEVEL HEALTH SCHOOL HEALTH LEADERSHIP COALITION WHILE ESTABLISHING NEW AND STRENGTHENING EXISTING PARTNERSHIPS. THAT BETTER SUPPORTS SCHOOL HEALTH POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND PROGRAMS. THROUGH TEXAS, THROUGH OUR TEXAS COORDINATED SCHOOL HEALTH PARTNERSHIP.

THIS PARTNERSHIP FOCUSES ON IMPROVING SCHOOL HEALTH BY COLLABORATING COLLABORATING WITH AGENCIES AND PARTNERS ACROSS ACROSS ALL WHISK MODEL COMPONENTS.

THIS PARTNERSHIP DOES MEET QUARTERLY, AND WE DO HAVE FIVE WORK GROUPS THAT PERTAIN TO LOCAL SCHOOL WELLNESS POLICIES, CHRONIC HEALTH SERVICES NUTRITION, ENVIRONMENT AND SERVICES, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ACTIVITY.

AND THE FIFTH ONE IS OUR OUT OF SCHOOL TIME RELATED TO HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

AS PART OF OUR AS PART OF OUR GOAL TO PROVIDE STATEWIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

WE DID PARTNER WITH ACTION FOR HEALTHY KIDS EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER ONE, PUBLIC HEALTH REGION 11, HHC AND TIA TO WORK TOGETHER TO PROVIDE THESE RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT YOU CAN SEE HERE, TO NAME A FEW. ACTION FOR HEALTHY KIDS IN COLLABORATION WITH DSHS SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM PRESENTED ON GETTING TO KNOW THE SHY.

AND THEN WE ALSO PRESENTED ALONG WITH HHC AND TIA ON THE UNDERSTANDING OPIOID MISUSE AWARENESS AND RESOURCES FOR SCHOOLS. AND NEXT SLIDE PLEASE. SO DURING THESE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENT EVENTS THAT I JUST MENTIONED, THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 517 PARTICIPANTS THAT WE REACHED.

ON AVERAGE, THERE ARE AROUND 47 PARTICIPANTS.

PARTICIPANTS ATTENDED AND REPRESENTATION FROM SCHOOL DISTRICTS ACROSS THE STATE WERE PRESENT.

ON AVERAGE EACH MONTH, SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM HELPS IN ASSISTING 48 UNIQUE LEAS AND SEVEN UNIQUE SCHOOLS WITH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.

IN TOTAL, A SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM HAS ASSISTED WITH 268 TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE INSTANCES.

OF COURSE, AS WE KNOW, THESE ACCOMPLISHMENTS WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE STRENGTHENING OF PARTNERS AND AGENCIES ACROSS THE STATE.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SCHOOL HEALTH TEAM IS TO WORK TOGETHER TO ANALYZE CURRENT SCHOOL HEALTH DISTRICT EFFORTS BY COMPLETING THE SCHOOL HEALTH INDEX.

LA VILLA ISD CHOSE TO FOCUS ON THEIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FIRST AS A WAY TO FOLLOW THE SAME CHILDREN OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS, ALLOWING THEM TO WORK WITH MEMBERS TEAM MEMBERS THAT WORK WITH ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AND WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRACTICES.

WE STARTED WORKING WITH LA VILLA ON THEIR QCE BEFORE OUR STATEWIDE PARTNER HAD DEVELOPED THE TRAINING.

SO MANY OF THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENTS WITH LA VILLA ISD WERE CONDUCTED AS HANDS ON WORKSHOPS BETWEEN THAT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SC ONE. SO FAR, THERE HAVE BEEN A TOTAL OF TWO SCHOOL HEALTH INDEXES THAT HAVE BEEN COMPLETED,

SO AS WE CONNECT THESE STRATEGIES ONE AND TWO STATEWIDE AND LOCAL AND LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCY SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM, WE DID TRAVEL TO SC ONE FOR THEIR SCHOOL HEALTH CONFERENCE.

AND THIS WAS IN JULY OF 2023. AND WE CONDUCTED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RELATING TO MEDICATIONS FOR RESPIRATORY DISTRESS POLICIES.

THE SCHOOL HEALTH INDEX AND SHACKS. SO, AS YOU CAN SEE, STRATEGY TWO ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE FOCUSED ON OUR PRIORITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE COMPLETION. WE SEE THAT ASTHMA PREVALENCE IS A LITTLE OVER 20% FOR BOTH 2019 AND 2021, WHILE OBESITY PREVALENCE ESTIMATES RANGED BETWEEN 16.9% AND 22.1% BETWEEN 2019 AND 2023. NEXT SLIDE. NOW, THIS SLIDE SHOWS THE PREVALENCE OF ASTHMA AND OBESITY BY SEX AND RACE ETHNICITY GROUPS. WITH 2021 ASTHMA DATA, WE OBSERVED THAT BLACK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAD THE HIGHEST PREVALENCE WITH 29.7%. WHILE THERE ARE NO SIGNIFICANT SEX SPECIFIC DIFFERENCES WITH 2023 OBESITY DATA, WE OBSERVED THAT MALE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAD A SLIGHTLY HIGHER PREVALENCE AT 20.1%, WITH 16.7% AMONG FEMALE STUDENTS, AND HISPANIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAD THE HIGHEST PREVALENCE WITH 22.3%. AND THEN NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. THIS SLIDE SHOWS THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS WHO ARE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE AT LEAST 60 MINUTES PER DAY ON FIVE OR MORE DAYS DURING THE PAST SEVEN DAYS. OVERALL, FROM 2019, 2021 AND 2023.

BY RACE AND RACE, ETHNICITY AND SEX. OVERALL, THE PERCENTAGE OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IS RELATIVELY STABLE, HOVERING BETWEEN 42 TO 48%, WHILE MALE STUDENTS HAVE HIGHER ESTIMATES THAN FEMALE STUDENTS, WITH 50 TO 56% OF MALES, COMPARED TO 40 TO 44 34 TO 40% OF FEMALE STUDENTS.

WHITE AND STUDENTS OF OTHER RACE ETHNICITIES REPORTED AN INCREASING TREND, AND LOOKING AT 2021 AND 2022 DATA, BOTH WHITE AND STUDENTS OF OTHER RACE ETHNICITIES REPORTED HIGHER PREVALENCE ESTIMATES THAN BLACK OR HISPANIC STUDENTS.

NUTRITION, AND CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT. THE YRBS RESULTS SHOW THAT ONLY 12% OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATE NON-FRIED VEGETABLES MORE THAN OR EQUAL TO THREE TIMES A DAY, WHILE 18% DRANK A CAN OR BOTTLE OF SODA MORE THAN OR EQUAL TO 21 TIMES PER DAY.

MALE, WHITE, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF OTHER RACE ETHNICITIES WERE MORE OFTEN PHYSICALLY ACTIVE AT LEAST 60 MINUTES PER DAY THAN FEMALE BLACK AND HISPANIC STUDENTS, RESPECTIVELY. AND THAT NEXT SLIDE PLEASE. THESE RESULTS CARRY IMPLICATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUCCESS.

ONE OPPORTUNITY IS THROUGH CONTINUING TO INCREASE ENCOURAGEMENT OF HEALTHY FOOD ACCESS AND INTAKE, WHILE DISCOURAGING UNHEALTHY FOOD ACCESS. ANOTHER WOULD BE TO IMPLEMENT HIS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY BEFORE AND DURING SCHOOL HOURS WHILE BUILDING A COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO INVOLVE FAMILIES.

AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE TO PROMOTE COORDINATION OF CHRONIC CONDITION MANAGEMENT BY PROVIDING DISEASE SPECIFIC EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION TO PARENTS, FAMILIES OF STUDENTS WITH CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS, AND FOR LONG TERM CHANGE.

AND THEN SOME OF THE THE WAYS THAT THEY'VE BEEN EXPANDED OR SOME ADDITIONS THAT WE'VE ADDED TO TO THOSE CONCEPTS.

SO WE CONTINUE TO EXPAND THE TEXAS FARM FRESH INITIATIVE.

THAT'S TDA'S COMPREHENSIVE FARM TO SCHOOL, FARM TO CHILD CARE, CHILD CARE SUPPORT AND PROJECTS.

WE'RE INCENTIVIZING SCHOOLS TO PURCHASE LOCAL PRODUCTS AND TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE THOSE PRODUCTS AND TO PREPARE FRESH MENU ITEMS USING USING THOSE PRODUCTS. WE CONTINUE OUR FARM FRESH CHALLENGE, WHICH IS A FRIENDLY ANNUAL CHALLENGE BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO PARTICULARLY IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, TRY NEW, FRESH, LOCAL PRODUCTS TO PROMOTE THEIR THEIR EFFORTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA, INFORM PARENTS AND ALSO EDUCATE THEIR STUDENTS WHERE THE FOOD IS COMING FROM AND A LITTLE BIT ABOUT AGRICULTURE IN THEIR AREA.

WE CONTINUE TO ADMINISTER USDA'S LOCAL FOOD FOR SCHOOLS GRANT STATEWIDE.

THAT'S BEEN $22 MILLION IN THIS ROUND. AND WE ARE WORKING ON OUR APPLICATION FOR A SECOND POTENTIAL ROUND THAT WOULD DOUBLE THIS FIGURE AND ALSO EXPAND TO CHILDCARE MEAL PROVIDERS. SINCE THE LAST MEETING, USDA HAS PUBLISHED THEIR FARM TO SCHOOL CENSUS.

THEY CONDUCT THIS CENSUS EVERY FIVE YEARS. AND THERE REALLY WERE REMARKABLE INCREASES IN THE AMOUNT OF FARM TO SCHOOL INITIATIVES, PROJECTS AND MONEY SPENT IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

BASED ON THAT CENSUS, WE CONTINUE OUR TRAINING INITIATIVES.

ONE OF THE NEWER THINGS IS THAT WE'RE COLLABORATING WITH THE CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA, OR CIA, TO PROVIDE SCHOOL NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS WITH HANDS ON TRAINING TO BE ABLE TO INCORPORATE FRESH PRODUCTS AND UNDERSTAND ALL THAT IS REQUIRED FOR TIMING IN THE KITCHEN AND PREPARATION OF THOSE PRODUCTS.

THAT'S IN A PRACTICAL WAY, FOR SCHOOL MEAL SETTING.

WE PROVIDE LIKE THAT'S THE BASIS OF THAT GRANT.

THERE'S A GRANT FROM USDA WHERE THAT WE'RE USING TO SEND CHILD NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS TO THE, TO THE CIA FOR THAT TRAINING. WE ALSO CONTINUE TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION AND ENGAGEMENT FROM SCHOOLS IN THESE FARM FRESH INITIATIVES.

WE HAVE RECOGNITION AWARDS THAT ARE GIVEN ANNUALLY AT OUR CONFERENCE, AND THEY'RE PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER SID MILLER HIMSELF.

WE ALSO HAVE A FARM FRESH MEDIA CAMPAIGN THAT FOCUSES RIGHT AROUND THE MONTH OF OCTOBER TO REALLY PROMOTE TO PRODUCERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE INITIATIVE AND TO TRY TO INCITE MORE ENGAGEMENT FROM THE PUBLIC OVERALL.

WE'RE ALSO WORKING ON STUDENT ENGAGEMENT. WE HAVE ANOTHER GRANT WITH USDA.

IT'S REFERRED TO AS THE MYPLATE GRANT. OUR PARTNERS IN THIS ARE AGRILIFE EXTENSION AGRILIFE RESEARCH AND TAKE ACTION FOR HEALTHY KIDS.

WE ARE RECRUITING AMBASSADORS IN HIGH SCHOOL TO TO BE THE THE LEADERS, TO TALK ABOUT MYPLATE AND TO HELP TEACH IN AFTER SCHOOL SETTINGS.

MORE ABOUT A NUTRITIOUS PLATE AND THE MYPLATE PROGRAM.

AND WE'LL HAVE SOME TASTE TESTING AND SOME OTHER SUPPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES TO, TO MAKE THAT REALLY ENGAGING.

AND THEN THE OTHER LEG OF THIS THREE LEGGED STOOL IS TO SUPPORT OUR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS AND HELP THEM UNDERSTAND HOW THEY SELL TO SCHOOLS, WHAT SCHOOLS ARE LOOKING TO BUY AND WHAT TYPE OF SCHEDULES AND WHAT THEIR PROCUREMENT RULES ARE AS USING FEDERAL FUNDS.

SO WE HAVE OUR FARM FRESH NETWORK THAT THE PRODUCERS CAN JOIN THAT NOT ONLY MAKES THEMSELVES VISIBLE TO SCHOOLS AS AN INTERESTED PARTICIPANT IN THE PROGRAM, BUT PROVIDES US A CONNECTION TO THE PRODUCER SO THAT WE CAN SHARE RESOURCES, SHARE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, THINGS LIKE THAT TO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS. WE'RE WORKING WITH AGRILIFE ON ANOTHER PROJECT THAT WE ARE CALLING THE FRESH TRACE PROGRAM, AND WE WILL BE ESTABLISHING PRODUCER TRAININGS AT THE REGIONAL AGRILIFE OFFICES FOR PRODUCERS.
